THE 14th ANNUAL TAU CLASSIC

You are invited to help the Theta Alpha Alumni Association raise money to provide scholarship opportunities for our undergraduate brothers and our new recruits. Join us on Saturday, August 24th 2024 at the Winding Ridge Golf Club in Indianapolis (Lawrence) for this year's event.

Based on feedback, this year's event will be primarily a 9-hole scramble. This allows for a shortened day to encourage more participation from our alumni. For those that still wish to play 18 holes, we will also set up earlier tee times, however, your last 9 holes will be the holes scored for the competition, along with the 9-hole players.

The day's schedule will work as follows:

7:30 am - Check-in for 18-hole players
8:00 am - Shotgun start for 18-hole players

9:30 am - Check-in for 9-hole competition players
10:15 am - A Chip & Putt Competition
11:00 am - Shotgun start for 9-hole competition players
2:00 pm - The Luncheon, Awards & Charity Auction

The cost to play in the outing is:

$125 per alumni or guests playing 18 holes
$100 per alumni or guests playing 9 holes
$ 50 per undergraduate member players

This fee includes green fees, a bucket of driving range balls, a seat at the luncheon, scholarship donation and a commemorative gift.

The Venue

This year's event will be played at:

Winding Ridge Golf Club
5450 Bogey Drive
Indianapolis, IN 46235

It is located in Lawrence near Fort Benjamin Harrison. It is easily accessible from I-465 using either 56th Street or Pendleton Pike.

There are many sponsorship opportunities around the golf outing. To help raise funds for the Theta Alpha Scholarship Fund, we are asking for sponsors for some aspects of the event. We will provide advertising for your business, provide you with personal recognition or in honorarium of others.

Not a golfer? Not sponsoring part of the Tau Classic? You can still come out for the 1:00 luncheon. It only costs $15 per seat and we ask for an additional scholarship donation of your choice.

Bid on Silent Auction Items Online

In conjunction with the luncheon, we are offering an auction of various donated items. The in-person auction will happen the day of the event. Individuals not attending the luncheon can pre-bid on items before the luncheon.
